Now live!!

Blue Oyster Cult is playing on the radio as Dillon enters the lair of bikers, and she can't help but look around for the shadow of death that invaded her home and sent her racing to Austin. Every letter written by that specter, that reaper on her flesh, burns like the kiss of liquid nitrogen. A warning she's forced to hand-deliver to some guy named Nasa.

As soon as she drives through the gates, Nasa has her on his camera feed. There's no reason to be here, and his first instinct to seeing this gorgeous woman wearing a bulky sweatshirt in the middle of summer is to call the bomb squad.
To the shock of every member of Perdition, it’s not a vest packed with C4 she’s got under there. It’s a message scrawled across her chest in black ink, and the meaning is clear.
Ghost is back.

Nasa's reaction to Dillon is visceral, a connection formed the instant she turned her wild tiger eyes his way and has him wrestling between what he knows to be true, and the burning desire to claim her as his own.
The facts can't be ignored, and he has to decide whether or not Dillon is a victim in need of his protection or another one of Ghost’s minions here to destroy Perdition.

I’m on TikTok Now!

I’m doing my best to stay current and hip to the times, folks! If you like watching silly videos, come check out my page, HERE

Did you know?

I have TWO reader groups on Facebook? Well, I do!

THIS ONE is strictly for posts about the Sarazen Saga. I’ll post inspiration and character photos I find on Pinterest, give status updates about where I’m at in the Saga, and answer questions about what's on the horizon for the Sarazens and their mates!

THIS ONE is for everything else. The World of Wroth. You’ll find news about new books other than the Sarazen Saga, events, games, more inspiration photos, news about Audio Books, I’ll post polls to take your pulse on certain things, post support for the other awesome authors in my tribe, and answer questions related to any of my books.

To join, all I ask is you prove you’re not a robot or a swag-scammer who’s only after my lucky charms…by answering three questions.

If you request to join but don’t answer the 3 very easy questions, your request will be denied.

If you invite someone to the group because you love the World of Wroth and want to share, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! But please understand, those people still have to answer the very easy security questions. I adore the readers in my groups and have been so very lucky to have collected a gaggle of ladies and a token gent who are kind, supportive of one another, and don’t bring negative drama to the realm.

October 2020

Just in time for Halloween, a spooky, dark, magical romance!

September 2020

For those of you not in my FB reader groups, I give you a new release! This project was born of my days spent watering plants at my muggle job, my mind wandering and dreaming of being anywhere but out there in the hot sun! 2020’s been a year of gravity and seriousness, so I thought a little magic was in order ;)

It’s time to reveal the glorious, creepy cover of my newest up-coming book! It was and is a project that blindsided me. I had no intention of starting a new series, or that I’d discover a passion for a new genre, but this book and the next two scheduled for their first round of edits surprised the hell out of me.

Today you heard it here, that now I not only write sci-fi romance and contemporary romance, I also now write paranormal murder mystery romance!

I know some of you continue to be disappointed that I’m not putting out the books you’re dying to read, and believe me, I feel guilty about it. I keep sitting down to work on my Perdition projects, and the many mini-series I should be writing in the Sarazen Saga, fully invested and ready to go… and then something like this happens.

The truth is, my brain sometimes needs a break from the story. It’s been emotionally difficult for me to write the Perdition series. Lots of you know and love Top, and you’re aware his character is about 95% based on my dad, who lost his battle with cancer and passed away last year. I’ve tried writing the next Perdition book without Top’s presence, but the entire thing fell flat and was missing that vital character, the way life seems a little less vibrant without my dad in it.

I’m not quitting Perdition, and Top is alive and well within the World of Wroth, but I’ve struggled, and needed some time to come to terms with the fact that Top is all there is left to immortalize my dad, and any book where Top takes the scene needs to be worthy of my dad’s memory.

I’ve started three books in the continuation of the Sarazen Saga, but stalled out and lost some creative mojo. Then, like a lightning strike, inspiration for this new book struck, and my battery charge was set to full, and my muse made it very clear I had to strike while the iron is hot, or lose it forever.

Thus, I give you…..

Three years ago, I held her pink silk toe shoe in my hand, helplessly watching the cab drive away before I could give it back to her. The next morning when I stood in front of the portrait drying on my easel, I knew the beautiful ballerina would soon die. Her portrait is one of two hundred and twenty-seven. Each one of the subjects are the victim of murder, and I’ve painted them all. I’ve kept my morbid ability a secret for twenty years, terrified someday, someone would find out.

Someday has arrived, and the someone banging down my door today demanding answers is a gorgeous, irate homicide detective armed with a photo of one of my paintings right there on the front page of the most popular tabloid in the city. He peppers me with questions I can’t answer, and despite my worst fears being realized, all I can think about is painting this man, alive, and with far less clothes on.

Detective Callum Graham tells me the dead ballerina I painted is his sister, and she's been missing for three years. Missing, he says firmly, as though any other conclusion is unacceptable. My inappropriate thoughts of seeing him naked, vanish. How do I explain to this man, this brother desperate to find his baby sister alive, that she’s been dead for two years, eleven months, and three weeks?

February 1st 2019

Greetings, WOW members!

Happy Monday my friends! I hope this finds you in good health, and prepared for a new release!

I don't actually have a new release for you today, Sarazen's Fury JUST came back from the editor, so it feels like you'll be getting your next fix the first week of March.
YAAAAYYYY!!

If you haven't gotten a look at the utterly FANTASTIC cover made for me by the ever fabulous Maria Spada, you'll find it posted HEREin my Sarazen Saga FB group.

So sexy.

Haven't joined? Answer my questions three and be given access to exclusive sneak peaks, games, giveaways, and updates!

And on the topic of covers, I'll be updating/changing the first three Sarazen Saga book covers soon for a more streamlined look, and to correct my numbering system.
It looks silly.

When you see 'book five' on the cover of Fury, you didn't miss any, I just fouled up my own system and have decided to do a straight 1 through 5 instead of the 1.1, 1.2 etc.
Make it a more unified, simple system.

Unfortunately, there's been more controversy in the world of literary works, and instead of posting more crap all over facebook, I'm going to directly address some stuff.

Ghostwriting, Plagiarism, and free-book trolls oh hell.

It seems a dedicated reader noticed too many similarities between some of her favorite books, and an author that's been in the hot seat this last week. The author in question has been raked over the coals and as she's doing damage control to try and explain "it was all the ghostwriter's fault" authors everywhere have dug in to weather the storm.

I myself have not and will not ever hire a ghostwriter. I have enough problems trying to explain how I want to have my hair cut. Explaining to someone the vision I have for my books...way too much effort.
So many of my ideas and inspiration come from my super weird dreams, Pinterest pictures, and the random conversations I have with my best friends about all sorts of unusual stuff.
I don't think I could explain all that in detail to a stranger, and have them write the book I WANT even if I tried.
And, I'm cheap. I'm not paying someone else if I can do it myself.

I have not and never will plagiarize another authors work because I know how hard he or she had to work to produce that one novel.
I SLAVE over making the visions in my head translate into words on a page, and the thought of having all that hard work stolen to be used in someone else's book straight pisses me off.

In the wake of all the backlash that's followed this problem, it seems there are readers attacking authors and other readers, SHAMING THEM for not offering free books, or for 'being the reason why book prices are going up.'

I'm not going to make a huge fuss over such fools, because quite frankly I've addressed how I feel about people who think they're entitled to free stuff at the expense of someone else and we don't need to visit the subject again.
I don't think I have any readers with such audacity, but if I do...I invite you to contact me directly for a conversation I don't believe either one of us will enjoy.

It's true Amazon limits the minimum price a book can be offered based on its length, but I price my books according to the time it took me to write them (6-8 months) how long they are (150-500 pages) how much it cost to edit them ($150-$900) how much the book cover cost to create ($150-$250) and what I feel is affordable.

The way I see it, my $3.99 book is way more enjoyable than that 6$ coffee the trolls post pictures of every morning after hitting Starbucks, and it doesn't result in the bubbleguts.

So...what's more important to those folks is what I want to know. A few hours of time spent on another planet, or the rush to the potty after that artisan coffee hits their rectum?

I don't drink coffee, so I don't have to make such an intense decision, but if I did, I'd take the book with no questions asked simply due to the basic math. 2 books or 1 coffee...

We'll end the serious portion of this broadcast with one more important announcement.

I write FICTION. FANTASY. Science-FICTION. Contemporary-FICTION. Basically, if it's MAKE BELIEVE, I'll write it.

I write with the intent to suspend belief and defy reality.

I write to please myself, to give myself the means to enjoy the lifestyle I want, and as an added bonus, to hopefully provide an exciting escape to my readers.

My heroes are fantastically endowed, and even if they act like jerks at the beginning, they provide orgasms to their partner every time they have unrealistically awesome, intense, passionate sex. They may even take out the trash upon occasion!

My fictional ladies are bad-ass. They aren't too stupid to live, they don't take shit lying down, they love with their whole heart—even if it's been damaged— and will definitely speak their minds when they feel they've been wronged.

I write this way because I wish life really was so fantastical.
You read romance novels because I think you do too.
So if you find any of my work "unrealistic," you're welcome! I tried really hard to make it that way!

Happy Time!

I am delighted to share the link to a truly amazing shared world collaboration done by the following authors!
Regine Abel-  Heart of Stone
Stacy Jones-  Gravel and Grit
Stephanie West-  Hard as a Rock
Tamsin Ley-  Sticks and Stones
Abigail Myst- Etched in Stone
NanceyCummings- Taken for Granite
and Zara Zenia!  Rock my World

I can tell you I've committed to doing another such shared world collab for 2020, the details are a secret at this time, but I'm very excited about it!!

In the mean time, Sarazen's Fury is to be released soon, so keep an eye out for it!!
After that, it'll be Zyre and Erufir's story. I still haven't hashed out the title for that one, but I'll let you know when I do!
Beguiling (Zillriane's story and book 2 in the Etheric Travelers series)
Dillon's Universe (Perdition MC book 5) and possibly one or two more is what I have on my schedule to publish this year.

Thanks so much to all my amazingly supportive readers who are not only kind to me, but to one another. I value each and every one of you so very much!

~Isabel

PS- If you haven't left a review for Awakening on Amazon, I would be ever so grateful if you would!

January 1st 2019

Greetings and Happy New Year, WOW members!

The great and powerful button has been pressed, and this time tomorrow (or potentially sooner) AWAKENING will hit the shelves!

Awakening is the first in the Etheric Travelers series and will parallel—and sometimes intertwine with— the Sarazen Saga.
In an effort to keep the momentum going, these stories will be of the 200 pages or less variety and chock-full of new adventures including familiar names and faces.
I'm about 5 chapters into writing book 2, Beguiling, so it won't be a huge lapse of time in between now and then.

I want to warn all of you now, Awakening is not a "complete" story.
It's part of a series, which means Ilaria gets a HAPPY FOR NOW, and her ever after goes on as she plays a continued roll in the stories to follow. I don't like the term 'cliffhanger' because Ilaria's struggles end, she's happy, and new chapters begin.

Some of you will no doubt rage at the machine, i.e. me, but it's how I roll peeps! The crazy train keeps on chuggin, and my hope is to up my production rate by keeping the stories shorter while still satisfying y'all as best I can.

I also want to thank everyone who's made Queen's Ransom a raging success, and so many positive reviews on a new, completely different universe has really given me the warm fuzzies.
A lot of folks have expressed the desire to read more about the Minoan's, but I confess when I wrote THE END, I had no intention of writing more.
It was my experiment writing a Happy Ever After, but apparently, I kinda failed, seeing as how y'all want more!
I make no promises, but I'm considering a novella or short story. However, with a ton of projects on my plate, any extra Minoan goodness is at the bottom of the pile. I could get a wild hair of inspiration tomorrow and write something awesome, but as of right now, nothing is forthcoming.

Nothing, except the AUDIOBOOK version of Queen’s Ransom!!
Cool, right?
I signed a contract with Tantor and production is in the works. I'm told the release will be mid-March, so if you're an audiobook fan, keep an eye out.
I know the narrator is female, and her voice is pretty awesome. Smoky, sassy, neutral yet intriguing, and pretty much perfect for how I imagined Jalia.

This'll be my first foray into audiobooks, and depending how it goes, more of my titles may hit a wide market as audiobooks.

In other exciting news, I've nearly completed Sarazen's Fury and will TENTATIVELY say you'll see it for sale by the end of February!
So for those of you who want to throw your e-readers at me after reading Awakening, you won't have to wait long for more. ;)

Cheers everyone!
~Isabel
